Katie McGlassion

Katie McGlassion has owned a dog all of her life and says her life would be incomplete without her dogs. She considers them her best friend and has a passion to raise dogs that are well-loved and enjoy a healthy and happy life. She lived with leader dogs (that perform service for the blind) to assist her brother who was blind at birth and was always amazed at their dedication and intelligence.
When Katie met Deborah she was impressed at the immediate impact on her miniature Australian Shepherd puppy Reba, who was fearful of new dogs and humans.  Katie was able to quickly take the information and techniques she learned to help socialize Reba, make her comfortable around dogs and people and do so without breaking her spirit.  Reba now greets new dogs and people with pleasure and enthusiasm.
Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and has worked with troubled youth and teens most of her career. She now looks forward to translating those skills and utilizing her patience and abilities in working with dogs to help their owners to enjoy their dogs as she enjoys hers.
