Growly Class
The Growly Class was an amazing experience. I would recommend that any one with a dog sign up for this class not just those of us with an aggressive dog. The class taught me the tools I need to be able to take Tana on walks and remain calm and confident when another dog crosses our path. -Stephen B.

Private Classes
Deborah has been a huge help in working with our rambunctious and very anxious lab/border collie mix dog! She has come to our house to work on how he greets guests to our house - or rather scares!! Prior to her sessions he lunged at people, barked hysterically and scared even dog lovers. With her help he has gotten a lot better. He still barks, its in his protective nature, but has gotten much better at not lunging towards our visitors and instead waiting until they pet him and pay attention to him. His anxiety levels have seemed to wane a bit. Thanks Deborah for all your help!!

Puppy Class
Ryan and I decided to get Wrigley into your classes after meeting an incredibly well behaved puppy that attended your group classes. I was amazed at how well this dog handled a swarm of kids petting him at the annual "Walk Your Child to School Day." We are so happy with all the progress Wrigley made in just one private session and the puppy II group class. Being the hyper little guy he is we have really gotten him to focus and respond to both verbal and non-verbal commands. We appreciated your straightforward approach to training and are excited to watch him continue to grow after completing the next 6 week class. It is so nice to be able to walk our little guy without having him jumping at other people and dogs. We can''t thank you enough!

Zero is a mixed breed, one who was not really a "puppy" when we adopted him from the humane society. He was almost a year, and had some issues to deal with. We enrolled him in several classes with Deborah, and eventually he was able to earn his "Good Citizen Certificate". Zero has benefitted from having Deborah in his life, as have I. She is, not only, an amazing trainer, and dog "shrink", but is now a dear friend. I cannot recommend Good Citizen Canine and Deborah Rosen highly enough. -Jena & Zero (the super hero!)

Private Classes
You are amazing! I never ever thought my min pin would listen to a word I''d say, but you have proven me wrong. I am so happy I went through the private lessons before the group class because the private lessons taught me how to specifically deal with Rudy, a.k.a. Money Pit. We began these lessons in July and just finished group class in October. AND FINALLY, on my own, I was able to get Rudy to obey the "Down" command. Simply Amazing! Thanks, Deborah, for training the trainer! Debbie M.

Group Classes
Hi Deborah! Something amazing happened today, just a few weeks after our group classes ended... Brandon was home painting the house. Going in and out of the yard, the gate was accidentally left open. Angel, our now 18 month old yellow lab, scooted right on out and bolted. She has done this before and has never come when called. We usually have to corner her in an alley before she will give up being chased. Brandon followed her for two or three blocks as she was running in between houses. When he finally got eye contact with her he said "Down" and she hesitated. She crouched a down a bit but thought the better of it and popped up again. Then he said "Stay" AND SHE DID!!! She sat down and stayed in place until he got to her. We were thrilled, and so grateful to Deborah for providing not only quality training but also the peace of mind that if Angel ever gets out again, there is now at least a chance she will listen to us and come when called!!! Growly Class
I''d like to comment about the outstanding service Deborah provides at Good Citizen Canine. I have found her to be utterly professional in all regards. She''s incredibly gifted in working with dogs AND their owners, and s a warm, friendly, and effective class experience. She''s generous with her time and information, because she loves her work. In addition, she''s always working to help other animals find homes, to a better community for dog owners, and to educate people about how to interact with their dogs so that everyone is happier. Growly Class
We have two dogs, a black lab and a Corgi, both rescue dogs. Since 2005, we have been trying to find someone who would be able to help us with the lab''s dog-agressive tendencies. Not only is Deborah''s class completely unique, but her approach is based on sound cognitive principles, and the training is compassionate and above all, EFFECTIVE. She has helped our young and obnoxious corgi become a mannerly member of our household, and has probably saved us from having our lab bite and injure another dog. She''s a completely different, more confident dog than she was before. The only complaint I have is WHY DON''T OTHER TRAINERS USE HER METHODS? She''s a) brilliant, b) compassionate, and c) does absolutely everything she can to make sure the training works for both the dog and the owner. I HIGHLY recommend her over any other trainers in the area (especially PetSmart!) - Amanda, Ranjan, Neesha and Cyrus

Private Classes
A year ago last June Boomer - aptly named - came to us from the pound, as a very lively (code word for out of control) boisterous (barked all the time) charming hound/dalmation mix, who when he wasn''t barking loved to bolt out of any open door and have me chase him for miles around the neighborhood. Deb saved our life when Boomer and I walked by her house one day a couple of months ago and stopped and asked for HELP! We immediately began private lessons and she has such a positive firm way that worked right from the start. It has been a miraculous turnaround! She gave me the tools to work with Boomer too, and now we have this wonderful charming QUIET dog that we aren''t afraid will greet you in inappropriate ways when you come to our door or escape as soon as the door opens. Deb is also a fascinating, very knowledgable and fun person who I am happy to consider a new friend. Thank you Deb! Lynn Raisl

Growly Class
Hi, Deborah, Just wanted you to know that Max and I took Bailey for a walk on the Grandview promenade- his first time out for a long while due to a hip injury, and he was PERFECT. Not one growl, not one lunge, though we passed a bizillion dogs of every description! You and growly class have worked a minor miracle.
