The nice thing about Deborah''s method of training is that it''s all positive reinforcement. Since I have a rottweiler that was rescued from a bad situation (like, dying), I didn''t want to use anything that would foster bad behaviors or self-worth issues. Thankfully, my boy''s done nothing but improve in both obedience and happiness.

Deborah Rosen is a master dog and people trainer. Newton, my Jack Russell terrier was a handful and he ruled the house until we met Deborah. We had a private session and within 20 minutes she had Newton responding to basic commands and Zen exercises to get his attention and calm him down. By the end of the session she had taught me to work the basic exercises with Newton. Newton is a brand new dog and I am confident in my ability to learn how to handle Newton. Newton and I are both very happy with the results and are looking forward to Puppy Kindergarten with Good Citizen Canine. Deborah is the best! Thanks Deborah!

What is it worth to you to have you dog attending a class given by Deborah Rosen? For us it is a one hour trip (each way)on a Saturday morning. Although there are classes available closer to home, Deborah''s methods of dog training are well worth the drive. Not only does she understand dogs as if she speaks their language she understands that not every dog owner can commit as much time during the week as would be optimum. So when I''m traveling for work and can''t spend as much time working with Zoey as she needs Deborah can always find a way to encourage "us" and to praise "us" for some small achievement. We will continue working with Deborah at least until Zoey achieves her Good Citizen certification.

We called Deborah when we began to have serious concerns about Barley not coming when he was called. Anytime there was a good distraction (like squirrels or other dogs) outside, he would race into the street and so would we. We attended Adult Canine class and Advanced Obedience class. Barley is now more interested in us than the other distractions. We all learned to have better focus. Barley had fun in class, and we really enjoyed playing with the other dogs. Yesterday, he started to run after a cute squirrel, and when we called him, he stopped abruptly, turned around, and came back. Deborah is a gifted trainer, and Barley really loves working with her.

This was how I felt in August about my 11-month old scottie called Agnes. Then I had the brilliant idea to call Deborah and our lives have changed! I don''t know if it was Deborah''s work with Agnes, or with me, but I feel in total harmony with my dog now. She behaves well (for a young Scottie) and enjoys our practice sessions. Deborah works magic!!! Thank you so much. Ili Nagy

Life is much more pleasant after having private lessons with Deborah! One can tell she loves animals, and our dog, Louie, could sense it immediately. He definitely responded to her caring ways of training and he loved the wonderful treats for positive reinforcement. The Zen exercises are really helpful for regaining his attention. It is even fun to take him for a walk now, and many of my friends have noticed how his behavior has improved. I will be forever grateful for Deborah''s knowledge and expertise. I highly recommend Deborah for dog training and I look forward to more classes under her guidance.

I talked my husband into getting a puppy last spring not realizing that he didn''t like dogs. His kids had a dog growing up so I figured he just didn''t want to be the sole caretaker of the dog. However, my puppy is so smart and full of so much energy that I was not able to get him under control. I called Deborah and we had three private lessons. We were immediately impressed with what Deborah was able to get Mogli to do. We then enrolled Mogli in Deborah''s Puppy Kindergarten class. Mogli learned so much more then. My only regret was that I wish I had taken Mogli to the Puppy Kindergarten class a little sooner. He is not around other dogs so it was a little challenging. Deborah''s classes definately saved us. I even heard my husband tell his grown son that he likes Mogli because he is so well behaved!

Rudy came to me when he was only 7 months old, he is now 2. It had been a very long time since I had had a puppy. Well, Rudy needed some training. I just happened to move into the house next to Deborah, and the rest is history. Deborah taught me how to train my dog, and the training she supplied was beyond words. My advice is this, a dog is never too old to train, thank you Deborah for all you have done for Rudy and I, you ROCK!!!

We have completed Puppy I and II with Deborah and found the experience extremely rewarding. "Zoe" is a Maltese/Poodle mix ("maltepoo") and thus, as a small breed dog, she has the tendancies to have some of the high- strung lap dog qualities. However, we found that early training has allowed us to focus Zoe''s attention towards positive, desireable behavior. We are so pleased that we have a dog who is able to be safe and comfortable in the community with us as well as at home. Classes with Deborah are positive and fun. She individually tailors each class to meet the participants needs. Classes are small enough that you get lots of one on one training with Deborah, but also get the great socialization benefits of being with other dogs/owners. We will be back for more. Deborah is a priceless resource for any dog owner.

Brinkley and I have been in 3 of Deborah''s classes. When we first started Brinkley was very young and out of control. Since attending class he has become the best dog. This morning to test him I brought Brinkley to my mother''s daycare with 30 screaming and hyper kids. Brinkley sat quietly while the children greeted him. They were very impressed with how he could sit with treats on his paws without eating them. I thank Deborah for all of her help and highly recommend her to anyone!!!Thanks Mark Hansen and Brinkley
